This is a collection of challenge runs which include one credit clears, deathless runs and speedruns.
I'm not serious about these challenge runs! I just do these for fun sometimes and I'd like to showcase my gaming achievments.
If you click on the status of a run, you'll be linked to a VOD!

Haunted Castle (Ver. K) | AC | deathless |
Originally this game gave me the impression that it was way harder than it actually was. The default version of this game on the MiSTer was version M, which ended up killing me so fast that I dropped the game not long after starting. I picked it up again this October for the Classicvania Challenge 2024 and beating it deathless became my highlight for the challenge that year. I was fascinated by it and found it more fun than I was expecting. Being able to beat it deathless probably added to why I like it so much now. This game is a mess but I think it rules. Of course I was cursing this game through and through as I was playing it but I liked it more as I was progressing. |
Castlevania | NES | deathless |
In 2023 it took me about 2 weeks to learn how to beat Castlevania deathless. Which did not leave me a lot of time to play too many more Classicvania games for the challenge that year. I think this game is perfect. Beating it in 30 minutes still feels good to do. It's short and intense and they just got it right on their first go honestly. |
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (Richter) | PCE | 1cc |
Rondo of Blood is an excellent game. Playing through the game and getting the 1cc was pretty tough, especially during the Shaft boss rush which is mainly why this isn't a deathless. I'd like to revisit this one day and see if I can bump this up to deathless status.

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (Maria) | PCE | deathless |
I had a ton of fun playing as Maria in Rondo. It's arguably easier but the game doesn't become a pushover when you're playing as Maria. It's still tough since you have less health. I loved having a double jump though. The cutscenes with Maria are adorable as well. I still died to the Shaft boss rush a few times but managed to pull through. I even ended up dying to Dracula at some point too. You should go play Rondo of Blood.

Final Fantasy 3 (any%) | NES | 6:44 |
This was my first ever category I tried speedrunning and it was a silly one. You can finish Final Fantasy 3 in the first town you set foot in while you're in a battle menu. This didn't feel that hard to learn, beside the fact that the only video that exists as a tutorial at the time was a video where the music was so loud that I couldn't hear what the person was saying. I don't know if I want to keep doing speedruns after this because I feel like deathless/1cc is more manageable for me. If there are more like this then maybe. Outside of speedrunning I really enjoyed FF3, it's a really neat game and I really liked seeing how they tackled jobs for the first time in the series.
